Fairwind Sailing School operates from Portomaso Marina St. Julians, it is within walking distance from several hotels and guest houses in Sliema and St’ Julians area and is situated in a stunning location with great leisure facilities. St Julians started as a fishing village. It became a summer residence for wealthy locals but eventually developed into one of the Island’s mostly saught after resorts. Its Malta’s centre for night life and entertainment.
Paceville, the adjoining small village still has it’s old buildings and boat houses. The bay at At. Julians is full of coloured Maltese boats. Paceville is frequented by tourists looking for nightlife entertainment, including discos, bars , Casino , restaurants and other entertainment.
Sliema and St Julians resort are Malta’s main coastal resort towns: a centre for shopping, entertainment and dining.. They are also the main artery of commercial and residential areas which is dotted by Malta’s newest hotels and apartments. Sliema, once a fishing town, developed rapidly in the early 20th century. It was a small resort for wealthier Valletta residents who built elegant villas and town houses which are now mostly still erect in the quieter back streets. Villas on the promenade had to make way for modern luxury apartment and hotels and restaurants.
